  • Overview

      Sciaky, a significant participant in the additive manufacturing space, is a growing manufacturer of Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing (EBAM) machines. The Finance Manager is responsible for all areas relating to accounting and finance functions for Sciaky (an operating unit of Phillips Service Industries - PSI), financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and maintaining a strong internal control structure - robust accounting background strongly preferred.  Job duties include: responsible for for the company’s financial planning and forecasting, participating with PSI Corporate management for operations review meeetings and central treasury operations, preparation of the company’s budget, monthly and ad hoc financial reports, analyzing financial and operational information and reporting to Sciaky senior management to propose courses of action, performing end of month close and associated accounting entries, supporting the quotation process for customer bids, managing customer, governmental and PSI Corporate financial audits, establishing and maintaining the standard cost rate structure of Sciaky, updating monthly financial forecasting reporting, inventory control and management, supporting tax planning and compliance, developing and refining financial control policies, ensuring proper accounting treatment of revenue recognition on both a percentage-of-completion and completed contract basis, mangement of accounts payable and accounts receivable, monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against forecast and budget including forecasting of cash flow, assisting in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department, conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities, and working to increase the effectiveness of the Epicor ERP system.  These are not the only requirements and functions of the position but aim to provide and idea of the breadth and scope of the position

    Responsibilities

    • Using Epicor modules and other reports, summarize division finances and pinpoint areas requiring attention.
    • Produce and review the following reports daily: cost updating and part number roll ups, actual cost, job value reports, direct and indirect cost tracking.
    • Produce and review the following reports weekly: WIP account distribution reports, material account distribution, inventory tracking, labor absorption.
    • Special projects as deemed necessary or as requested by management .
    • Oracle cost module report to track production costs and labor costs for specific part numbers.
    • Weekly forecast of shipments and WIP verses production through-put.
    • Monthly match costs with revenue and post entries to profit and loss statement, reconcile inventory and adjust variances. Report results to corporate.
    • Review all direct and indirect costs in all departments and assign as fixed or variable.
    • Develop sales budget and COGS associated to create operating expenses for income statement.
    • Year end audit to test all procedures to insure accuracy and validate financial statements.

     

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Bachelor's Degree and 5 years experience in a accounting or financial position.
    • Master's Degree preferred
    • Proficiency in Computer programs and databases such as Epicor, MS Office, MS Access
    • Manufacturing background, preferred
    • Aerospace/Space/Technology work experience a plus.
