    We are looking for a goal oriented individual who is a self starter that can work equally well independently and as part of a larger design team. Sciaky is currently experiencing a growth stage in both business and technology offerings and this position will be immediately tasked with assisting to bring R&D stage designs to a production ready level. This job description indicates the general nature and level of the work that is expected.     Responsibilities

    Personel shall work within the electron beam additive manufacturing process engineering group. This will require a combination of skill sets that include CNC machine operation, CAD\CAM tool path planning, providing written project reports, conducting process research and development activities sponsered by both commercial customers as well and internally funded. Other activities will include coordinating with outside vendors for operations such as heat treating, material suppliers, machining, and a combination of destructive and non destructive testing.

     

    This role will interact with a multi-skilled team that includes other process engineers with specialist that include materials, mechanical engineering, and welding engineer backgrounds. The person selected for this role ideally brings to the group expertise in mechatronics and industrial software development skill sets. These skills will be applied to integrating and incorporating new sensor technologies and data analysis algorithms into our real time process control system. Additional activities would include improving our CAD\CAM software interfaces for programming of EB Additive Tools paths by applying in house process knowledge and techniques via the various CAD\CAM software vendors API's.

     

    Beyond the specific software and electronics integration task, the individual would be expected to learn and become knowlegeable on the electron beam additive manufacturing process as well, that over time would become capable of managing customer build projects.

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Masters Degree in Software,Electrical, ElectroMechanical Engineering with a focus in industrial equipment processes\mechatronics or 3-5 years of working experience in an applicable field
    • Software proficiency with, Python, Labview, C/C++, Tcl/Tk, IEC 61131, CUDA, Open CV, DIN 66025\RS274
    • Design experience using 3D CAD systems such as Siemens NX or Autodesk preferred
    • Writing - Excellent writing skills with a strong emphasis on technology and using MS Office applications
    • Project Management -Good communication and organizational skills, attention to detail
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • Experience integrating sensors (thermocouples, cameras, flow, pressure…) into industrial systems

                    Programming PLC's                   

                   Software application programming of data acquisition system, machine vision, 3D scanning application

    • Creation of CNC machine tool post processors using either Siemen NX or Autodesk Powermill
    • Familiar with machine learning and AI tools and programming techniques
    • Working with large scientific data sets analysis and visualization
