  • Overview

    Electrical and controls design for Sciaky product in a cost effective manner. Follow our Quality Management Systems to assure compliance to internal standards and specifications. Design of System Schematics . Design of Electrical Wiring and Panel Layouts. Assist Programming/Debugging LabView Code

    Responsibilities

    • Knowledgable in servo and motion control.
    • Must be able to interpret product/machine specifications derived from internal and/or external sources and execute designs that meet customer requirements with minimal supervision.
    • Experience designing power distribution and related control circuits, process controls, drive systems, and high output power supplies serviced by 480/400/600/220 VAC 3ph. 50/60hz services requiring 10 to 400 amps.
    • Experience with electrical standards and safety codes, such as, NFPA 70 and 79, EN60204, including CE directives and associated norms.
    • Experience releasing electrical drawings packages for manufacture.
    • Experience with Bentley Microstation V8 CAD system or equivalent. (I.e. Eplan).
    • Experience designing and creating documentation for electrical panels consisting of assembly and wiring drawings, BOM's, with associated sheet metal drill and layout drawings.
    • Experience sizing and specifying electrical components on electrical panels, such as: circuit breakers, fuses, contactors, relays, low voltage power supplies, transformers, terminal strips, I/O devices, and wire-ducts.
    • Experience interfacing process control and motion system components, such as, brushless motor drive and stepper motor drive amplifiers.
    • Experience designing and creating documentation for electrical enclosures consisting of assembly and panel interconnection drawings, BOM's, wiring harness drawings, and associated sheet metal modification and layout drawings.

    Qualifications

    • Understanding of analog circuit design and noise immunity techniques.
    • Five years of electrical engineering experience
    • Proficiency using computer based data entry systems such as MS Office
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen & willing to travel foreign and domestically (less than 10%)
    • Understanding of welding processes and applications
    • Background in ISO 9001 quality program

    Minimum Education:

     

    • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

    A plus to have:

    • Understanding of welding processes and applications
    • Background in ISO 9001 Quality Program
    • Understanding of MATLAB, SPICE, Creo and NC based languages including robotics control.
    • Structured programming experience : C/C++, LabView, real-time control
