  • Overview

    The Traveling RAC Coordinator temporarily assumes all RAC Coordinator responsibilities at a given customer site during staff shortages and provides training to replacement staff.  This job description indicates the general nature and level of the work that is expected.  It is not designed to contain a comprehensive or all-inclusive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities.  Other duties may be required.


    • Represents PSI and its interests in a professional and respectful manner
    • Searches for, identifies, and presents cost-saving opportunities to customers for consideration
    • Provides accurate measurements of current cost savings to customers & district manager
    • Initiates and follows the sequence of steps required for the repair of customer assets
    • Maintains accurate, detailed records regarding the status of customer’s repairable assets 
    • Participates in relevant meetings with customer management when feedback regarding the RAC process is expected and/or needed
    • Works cooperatively with PSI sales personnel to ensure excellent customer service
    • Adheres to all procedures in accordance with established Quality Management Systems
    • Cultivates a friendly & professionally cooperative relationship with key customer staff
    • Investigates customer complaints and works cooperatively with RAC sales personnel to develop effective solutions
    • Selects and recommends new services to existing customers to increase business and maximize revenue
    • Compares and evaluates possible decisions or courses of action relating to customer inquiries, requests, or demands, and recommends a particular decision or direction that has a substantial impact on the success of the RAC program at the site in question
    • Exercises discretion and utilizes independent judgment during all phases of service delivery and program maintenance
    • Assists with the recruitment and selection of Replacement RAC Coordinators
    • Trains replacement RAC Coordinators and evaluates their performance throughout the succession process to ensure proficiency and facilitate an effective and smooth staff transition
    • Participates and assists in the launch of new RAC sites
    • Ensures the organizational culture of the customer and the performance of replacement RAC Coordinator is complimentary and recommends additional training time or corrective actions that may be required to the Division Manager
    • Assesses the unique duty requirements, policies, and procedures of the host site and ensures all work activity is performed according to customer expectations

    • Oral and Written Comprehension- the ability to listen to and understand what the customer wants, presented either in spoken or written words
    • Troubleshooting/Critical Thinking- the ability to isolate and neutralize problems within a system
    • Memorization- the ability to retain information such as words, numbers, pictures, and procedures used within the company
    • Speech Clarity- the ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand and comprehend what is being said


    Minimum Requirements

    • High school diploma
    • Previous experience in customer service, warehousing, and/or manufacturing preferred
